Terms of Business
LAST UPDATED: 10 June 2026
Who these terms cover
These terms govern use of this website and the purchase of advisory services from CMX Ventures Ltd (company number [COMPANY NUMBER], registered at [REGISTERED ADDRESS]), trading as CMX Business Engineering.
The Edge Score
The Edge Score is a free, indicative self-assessment. It is provided for general guidance only and is not advice, a forecast or a guarantee. Verified findings are produced only through the Edge Audit.
The Edge Audit
The Edge Audit is a fixed-fee diagnostic engagement. The fee is stated at booking and payable in advance. The full Audit fee is credited against any subsequent Edge Build engagement agreed within six months of Audit delivery. Rescheduling is free with 48 hours notice; cancellations with less notice may forfeit the fee.
Build and Partner engagements
Edge Build and Edge Partner work is scoped and priced in a written proposal, which together with these terms forms the contract for that engagement. Where delivery runs through a CMX Ventures division such as CMX Web Design or CMX AI, that is stated in the proposal.
What we are responsible for
We deliver the services described in the applicable proposal with reasonable skill and care. Commercial outcomes depend on factors inside your business and your market; figures in plans and case studies describe past or modelled performance and are not guarantees. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise our total liability under an engagement is capped at the fees paid for that engagement.
Your responsibilities
You confirm the information you give us is accurate, that you are authorised to act for your business, and that you will provide the access reasonably needed to deliver the engagement.
Intellectual property
You own the deliverables we produce for you on payment in full, including the audit leak list and plan. We retain ownership of our methods, templates and tooling.
General
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction. If any provision is found unenforceable the remainder stands. We may update these terms; the version on this page at the time of your booking applies to that engagement.
